Mohamed Farsi, defender of the Algerian national team, confirmed that the weather conditions affected his team's performance and prevented it from winning against Equatorial Guinea.

The Algerian and Equatorial Guinean teams tied 0-0 yesterday, Friday, in the fifth round of the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Farsi said in statements to the media: “The reality of the result does not reflect the great effort we made. Playing in the afternoon, in disastrous weather conditions, greatly affected the performance.” .

He added: “We will not use the difficult climatic factors as an excuse, but we must be positive. Although the national team did not return with a win, it was not defeated.” This is what is important.”

He continued: “We must turn the page on this confrontation, and think about our next match against the Liberian national team, and how to end the qualifiers with a new victory.”

He concluded: “Although the national team has secured its early qualification to the finals, and will not be subject to pressure, this does not mean that we will relax against Liberia, but rather it will motivate us to give our best to make our fans proud and happy.”
