English club negotiates with Kohler
One of the English second division clubs entered into serious negotiations with Swiss coach Marcel Kohler, the coach of Al-Ahly club.
Press reports indicated this evening, Wednesday, that Queens Park Rangers entered into negotiations with Kohler during the international break.
The sources indicated that Al-Ahly’s management, headed by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, contacted the Swiss coach and his agent, who confirmed their full commitment to remaining with the team.
This came in light of the various tournaments in which Al-Ahly is participating during the current season, most notably the Club World Cup, the Egyptian League Championship, the Egypt Cup, and the African Champions League.
Press reports indicated that there is more than one Saudi club that wants to contract with Koller for an attractive financial reward that is more than 6 times what he gets with Al-Ahly.
