Villarreal identifies Akhoumash's replacement after his season ended due to injury

Villarreal club is seeking to sign a new player during the upcoming winter transfer period, after the team’s player, Elias Akhoumash, suffered a rupture in his cruciate ligament.

Villarreal confirmed in An official statement details Akhoumash’s injury to a complete tear in the anterior cruciate ligament and a sprain in the internal collateral ligament in his right knee.

The Spanish newspaper “El Desmarque” confirmed that Villarreal is placing the Portuguese player Gonzalo Guedes is the first choice to replace Akhoumash during the upcoming winter transfer period.

Guedes has the ability to play in all attacking positions, in addition to the good impression he left during his loan period with The Spanish club last season.

Gonzalo Guedes gets very few playing minutes with Wolverhampton, and this may make his return to the Spanish League again possible.
