The journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour confirmed that the past few days witnessed a crisis between Ramadan Sobhi, the Pyramids star, and his club’s management due to the failure to pay the installment of the value of his contract. For the past month, the administration also requested to reduce the player’s contract.
Al-Ghandour said on his program on Al-Mehwar channel: “Ramadan Sobhi strongly objected to Pyramids’ request and refused to participate in training and missed the Petrojet match in the first week of the league.”
He added: "Pyramids management held a session with Ramadan Sobhi to convince him to reduce his contract amounting to 40 million pounds annually, but he refused and said what was written in the contract: I will take it and this is my right according to the terms of the contract and I will not give up."
He concluded: “Pyramids management contained the crisis and backed off reducing Ramadan Sobhi’s contract. The player participated in the training and is currently being prepared to participate in the matches.”
