Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany appeared in a press conference, to talk about the confrontation against St. Pauli, in the tenth round of the German League.

He said about the team’s condition after Champions League match: “Things are looking good. It is important not to suffer many injuries during this period. I have a feeling that the players are in good condition.”

And about returning to Hamburg tomorrow. “My time in Hamburg was very important and very beautiful. Munich is a great city, and so was Hamburg. I learned a lot during that time; it was the first time being outside my hometown and it was a very educational time with Hope Stevens and Thomas Doll.”

And about his rivalry with St. Pauli as a former Hamburg player: “I am now the coach of Bayern. My time in Hamburg was 15 or 16 years ago. In my time, St. Pauli was in the second division. I know that the competition was always great. Tomorrow it will be about Bayern.” "Munich, and I hope we can do our best and get the result we want. I still have a lot of friends in Hamburg, for whom it might be important, but for me, it's all about Bayern Munich."

On the future of Alphonso Davies: “For me, it is about the sporting aspect. If he plays, it means he deserves it with his performance. What he showed now, he should stay at this level. I talk frankly with him about how to maintain this level. Everything else is the job of Christoph Freund and Max Eberl (club administrators).”

And on Bayern scoring at least three goals in every away game in the Bundesliga this season: “We don't make a big difference between a home game and an away game. When we play at the Allianz Arena, it's extra motivation. But it doesn't make much difference, and our plan doesn't change. Maybe that's one of the reasons why we scored so many goals away from home. But this does not mean anything for tomorrow, we are preparing as usual and hope that things will go well again.”

On how difficult it is to choose the starting wingers at the moment: “Not It's difficult right now. Quality and talent are always very important, and we are well equipped in this position. When the boys do as well as they do now, it's great. Then it's about recovery. We can make changes in a timely manner. The players have experience and know that they can support and help each other.”

On Joao Balenha’s recent performance: “Joao has played a very important role in the last few matches. But it's not just about one player, it's about the mentality of the whole team. Finding the right balance in mindset is crucial. It has worked well in the last few matches, we hope we can continue like this and maintain our confidence.”

He concluded regarding Sane’s recent performance: “Le Roy has delivered A good performance, when he is fit and happy, we all see it on the pitch, as happened in the last match. He has experience and I am convinced that he will continue to show that in the future.”
