Guardiola explains the loss to Bournemouth
Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola appeared in press statements, after the 2-1 loss to Bournemouth, in the tenth round of the English Premier League.
The coach said: “They had chances, and we created chances at the end as well, but we couldn’t snatch any balls from the wings.”
He added: “It was difficult to play against them.” In the first half. We knew how they would play. It was worth it. The players are giving everything they have because they always will after nine years together.”
He continued: “Kyle [Walker], he had not trained with us for 16 days until yesterday. Nathan [Ake] gave an unbelievable effort, it's not just about these injuries.”
On how proud he is of going almost a year without losing in the Premier League: “ We would like to continue defending him, but how many matches and months we have done... It is wonderful.”
He concluded: “We have another match in two days in Portugal against Sporting Lisbon.” “And we have to continue again.”
