Hamdi suffered a torn cartilage

Mohamed Hamdy, the Zamalek club player, revealed, this evening, Saturday, the details of the injury he suffered on the sidelines of his participation in the National Bank match.

The coach, Jose Gomez, was replaced. Mohamed Hamdy, in the 46th minute of the match, brought on Polish player Konrad Michalak, due to his injury.

Mohamed Hamdy wrote through his official account on the social networking site “Instagram”: “Praise be to God, there was a cut in the cartilage and a tear in the external ligament.”

The Zamalek team defeated its counterpart, the National Bank, by three goals to two, during the match that was held yesterday evening, Friday, in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League championship.

Zamalek is scheduled to resume training next Sunday, in preparation for the match with Smouha, scheduled for next Friday at Burj Al Arab Stadium in the second round of the Premier League competition.
