The former Arsenal player criticizes Mahrez's level with Al-Ahly
Frenchman Robert Perez, former Arsenal star, criticized the level of Algerian Riyad Mahrez, Al-Ahly player, indicating that he does not live up to the quality of current Saudi League foreigners.
Perez said in his statements: “Riyad Mahrez is no longer like before, and he has not yet risen to the level of current foreigners in the Saudi League. He has also gained some weight, and his level has become weak.”
He added: “Mahrez is no longer the explosive player who goes to the players, in addition to making fewer dribbles and lacking speed, and this is impressive.”
He continued, saying: “Mahrez was making a difference when he was in Manchester City, but his situation with Al-Ahly is different and that is not happening now.”
Perez pointed out that Mahrez has lost confidence in himself, and is no longer dribbling like he used to do with Manchester City, and this makes it difficult for him to return to the competition.
