Inter coach Simone Inzaghi appeared in press statements after beating Empoli 3-0 in the tenth round of the Italian League.

The coach said: “The players were excellent.” But it was not easy. We knew that we would face problems. In the first half, we were not moving the ball quickly enough, but I told the players that Empoli would get tired. They were playing with one man, and we had to keep moving the ball like this. We would find solutions. And this is what happened.”

He continued: “We are all satisfied with Lautaro Martinez. I know what scoring means for the striker, and Lautaro will always be a solution for us, and will never be a problem.” Despite the slight decline in terms of goals scored, he had an excellent performance, he played a lot of matches, but I wanted to keep him on the field because he needed that satisfaction. I'm happy for him and for David, who scored two goals The whole team must continue to work; personal satisfaction comes after team satisfaction.”

He added: “Palacios is a young player who joined us two months ago. He works very hard. The players were happy with his debut because he worked hard and well. He is a good player and has a great future ahead of him. Now, he must understand and monitor his more experienced teammates, but he will certainly give us satisfaction.”

On the 4-4 draw against Juventus in the last round: “I had mixed feelings. Looking at the performance we put in on Sunday, nothing quite worked, we deserved more, but that's football. Maybe we should have done more. We worked and tried to recover in these two and a half days. It is important to manage energy.”

He concluded: “We are playing at high levels, and some key players are absent. This affects management a little. Barella and Mkhitaryan played two consecutive matches. Fratesi started in three matches and played 30 minutes against Juventus. At the moment, without Aslani in the midfield, we have not been able to rotate much in the midfield in the last few matches.”
