Casey: I love playing in a stadium full of fans

Ivorian international Franck Kessie, player of the Saudi Al-Ahly club, confirmed that the Jeddah derby between Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad is similar to the Milan derby between Inter Milan and Milan.

Kessie said in statements For the Saudi League Association website: “I love playing in a completely full stadium, while hearing the cheers and chants of the fans. The crowd pressure is always positive.”

He added: “When you talk about the derby, you are talking about competition, and this is what adds a lot of enthusiasm to us as players and also to our fans, so it is the best match in the league championship.”

He continued: “In this derby, the number of Al-Ittihad fans will be greater than our number, so we must enter in a good state of mind.”

He concluded: “I would like to extend special thanks to Al-Ahly fans because they are the best fans in the Saudi League and because they support us passionately all the time in Jeddah and outside it.”
