Frenchman Mohamed Simakan, Al-Nasr defender, commented on his team’s exit from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup tournament following the sudden loss to Al-Taawoun in the quarter-finals.

Al-Nasr lost to Al-Taawoun with a clean goal, scored by Walid Al-Ahmad, in the match that witnessed Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo miss a decisive penalty kick in the 96th minute.

Semakan said in his statements: “The match was not easy at all, it was very complicated.”

He continued, saying: “This is football, and sometimes you do not have opportunities. We had some opportunities and defended well, but we did not succeed, and the opponent had one shot from which the goal came.”

Simakan added: “We regret leaving the King’s Cup, and we must start working again in preparation for the upcoming matches, and we must continue and give our best.”
