Al Ain coach: Facing Al-Ahly will be very difficult
Argentine Hernan Crespo, Al Ain's Emirati coach, confirmed that his team's match against Al Ahly today will be very difficult.
The Al-Ahly team will face its counterpart, Al-Ain, today in the Intercontinental Cup, where the match will be held at exactly eight o’clock in the evening, Cairo and Mecca time.
He said Crespo in the press conference before the match: “We know very well that we will face Al-Ahly in its stadium, which is the African champion, and this means that we will play a knockout match outside our stadium, and this is completely different from other matches.”
He added: “We will try as much as possible to play the match our way, and we are fully aware of the difficulty of the match, but we are ready to give our best.”
He continued: “In order to reach this stage, we had to win the AFC Champions League, and this achievement makes us very proud. The presence of the championship star on our shirt reflects the magnitude of the responsibility placed on our shoulders.”
Crespo expressed his happiness at being in Cairo, saying: “We are proud to be here. This is my first time visiting Cairo, and the atmosphere is wonderful.” I am very happy to play this type of match.”
