Rodri: Beating such players gives my prize more value

Manchester City star Rodri expressed his happiness after winning the Ballon d’Or for the best player in the world for the year 2024.

Rodri said after receiving the award: “I am playing in the best club.” In the world, thank you to all my colleagues in the club, thank you to all the technical staff, without them this would not have been possible.”

He added: “One day I told my father I will quit football, it is over.” My dream, but he told me, “No, keep going, let’s try until the end. Today I am here and I am proud. I have to say thank you.”

He continued about his injury: “I am.” Positive, injury is part of football. I try to take care of myself and work hard during the recovery process.”

He stressed: “Becoming better than big players like Vinicius and Bellingham gives my award more value.” I am proud of what I have accomplished for my country.”

He concluded: “My advice to young people is: There is no need to be obsessed. You can be normal people and adhere to values. Try to do your best.” Put in your effort and in the end you will get what you want.”
