Barcelona announces the continuation of Rafael Marquez
FC Barcelona announced, in an official statement, the continuation of the team’s young coach, Rafael Marquez, whose contract was expiring this summer.
The club said: “ “The club has reached Barcelona and Rafael Marquez have reached an agreement to renew the Mexican coach’s contract for another season, that is, until 2025.”
He added: “After renewing his contract, Rafa Marquez will complete his third season as coach of Barcelona Athletic.”
Marquez played 82 matches as Barcelona youth coach, achieving 40 wins, 21 draws and 21 losses.
The young coach was a candidate to coach the first team, before the club signed a contract with German Hansi Flick.
