Gerrard hopes Salah will continue with Liverpool

Stephen Gerrard, technical director of the Saudi Al-Ettifaq, spoke about his opinion on the departure of the Egyptian Mohamed Salah, the star of the English Liverpool club, to the Saudi League.

There is interest from several Saudi clubs in including Mohamed Salah, whose contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2025.

Gerard said via “The Redmen TV” podcast: “I hope we get another two years from Mohamed Salah. I think he is able to perform well for many more years because of what he offers and his professionalism.”

He added “I hope that Mohamed Salah stays at Liverpool and that we get more from him, but I am not surprised because for those who are obsessed with the game and have this level of talent, it is not surprising that they have consistent levels all the time.”

Gerrard ended his speech by praising Salah, saying: "I'm not surprised by the way he handles his career, and I think he will be one of those players that we will all appreciate more when the day comes when he finally leaves."
