Former Al-Ahly star Ahmed Schubert commented on the fine imposed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Zamalek club due to the threat of withdrawal. From the African Super Championship, in addition to the suspension of Shikabala and Nasser Mansi, the team’s duo, for 3 matches and a fine of 10 thousand dollars.

Schubert said in radio statements: “Please, do not be upset with me, and take the words with an open heart and do not take offense at my family and Zamalek, and the words that we are very smart about this, if we want to make amends, I mean. Yesterday was a committee.” Discipline in CAF issued heavy and severe fines to the Zamalek club, and people say that when USM Algiers withdrew from the Confederation Cup semi-final, they were fined only 40 thousand dollars.

He continued: “Guys, our player, understand a little and know the rules a little. What is the fault of the Zamalek club, deducting 300 thousand dollars, and suspending 2 of its players, and this is because they are leaving the rope at bay? Anyone who says we will withdraw and not play will be threatened, and who will sit? And who talks to them and is busy? Guys, establish a system and a foundation for the world to function properly.”

He concluded: “The people in Zamalek said we will submit a petition. We are waiting for the petition and the reaction to the petition. But please do what you want correctly. We do not want more problems than that. May God protect you. People are suffering.”
