
A source within the Confederation of African Football revealed that CAF decided to suspend Mahmoud Abdel Razek Shikabala and his colleague Nasser Mansi, due to the events of the African Super Cup against Al-Ahly, which ended with Zamalek winning on penalties.
The source stated that CAF informed the Egyptian Football Association of suspending Shikabala and Nasser Mansi for 3 matches at the African level, in addition to fining Zamalek $300,000.
He explained: “The penalties came.” Because of the events of the match, which were recorded by the match observer based on the referee’s report and coordination with him.”
Where Shikabala objected to the match referee’s decision to award a penalty kick in favor of Al-Ahly club in the first half, the matter was Which led to Zamalek players being called off the field and threatening to withdraw, while Nasser Mansi pointed to the Al-Ahly club fans after scoring the penalty kick.
