Officially... The Saudi Federation announces the departure of Mancini
The Saudi Football Federation announced, in an official statement, the departure of Italian coach Roberto Mancini from training the Saudi national team.
The statement said: “The Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation has reached The Football Association and the national team coach, Mancini, have entered into a joint agreement that includes the end of the contractual relationship.”
He added: “The Council extends its thanks to Mr. Mancini and wishes him success in his career.”
He concluded: “The Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation will announce the new coach for the national team in the coming days after the final and official completion of the contractual procedures.”
Several names were associated with coaching the Saudi national team, most notably the Brazilian Tite, the Frenchman Harvey Renard, the Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, and Saleh Al-Mohammadi.
