Al-Ahly and Zamalek’s position on including new deals

Former Al-Ahly star Ahmed Shoubir confirmed that Al-Ahly and Zamalek clubs will not conclude new deals in the current summer Mercato.

Schubert said in radio statements on “On Sport FM”: “The registration window will be closed on the 25th of this month, and Al-Ahly and Zamalek are in the UAE, so the two teams will not be able to make deals.”

He continued: “I imagine that the matter is difficult. Al-Ahly Club tried and worked hard and toured it, and many players approached it, but it did not impress Marcel Kohler, the technical director, or the planning committee.”

He continued: “Al-Ahly Club decided to include the deals next January, and saw that the time is not far away, so it is better to contract with the players next January.”

He concluded his speech by saying: “Al-Ahly and Zamalek will rely on the fact that there are 9 teams that will advance to the next stage in the Premier League, the current version, and accordingly, deals will be included in January, and this is what I believe is the scenario that the two teams are thinking about.”
