Al-Montashari: Gerrard is not good at managing matches

Hamad Al-Montashri believes that Al-Ettifaq coach Stefan Gerrard is not managing matches well and that trust has been lost between him and his team's players.

Al-Ettifaq lost 3-2 to Al-Orouba yesterday in a match in the seventh week of the Saudi League.

Gerrard held the referee responsible Loss.

Al-Muntashari said on the “Dorina Ghare” program on the Saudi “SSC” channel: “I think that trust has been lost between Gerrard and the Al-Ettifaq players, because of his statements after the match.”

He continued: "This situation is similar to what happened between Roberto Mancini (the Saudi national team coach) and his players. Gerrard is not good at managing matches. He was leading in the score a quarter of an hour before the end of the confrontation, and yet he lost due to lack of... his ability to manage it.”

He added: "Even if there was a refereeing error, the problem lies in Gerrard's inability to make the correct technical decisions."
