Liverpool spoils Al-Nasr’s plan to sign the team’s star
An English press report revealed today that negotiations have begun between Liverpool FC and its Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk to renew his contract.
The Dutch defender’s contract expires at the age of 33. A year with the Reds at the end of the current season, and the Liverpool club management is seeking to reach an agreement with the player and submit an offer that extends until 2027.
Van Dijk had previously received great interest. From the Saudi club Al-Nasr, which negotiated with him in the summer in order to contract him and include him in the team’s ranks.
Van Dijk’s successful career with Liverpool extended for nearly seven years since he played in a shirt. In January 2018, the Reds succeeded in winning all the local, continental and international championships.
