
The legal advisor to Al-Ahly Club, Mohamed Othman, announced the acquittal of Imam Ashour, the Red Castle player, of the charge brought against him of assaulting a security personnel in one of the malls.
The Public Prosecution was Sheikh Zayed referred the player to the misdemeanor court to investigate the incident, but the court issued a ruling acquitting the player after he denied the accusation, stressing that he was acting in defense of his honor after he received a call from his wife telling him that she was being harassed.
The prosecution released the player on bail worth 5,000 pounds after he confirmed that what happened was only a misunderstanding and not a deliberate violation.
Counsel Muhammad Othman announced on his personal page on the social networking site “Facebook” the acquittal of Imam Ashour in a few words, “Praise be to God, Imam Ashour is acquitted.”
