El-Shenawy on his exclusion from the national team: Ask Hossam Hassan
Ahmed El-Shenawy, Pyramids goalkeeper, spoke about his team’s upcoming confrontation against Zamalek, tomorrow, Sunday, in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Super Cup.
Ahmed El-Shenawy said in The introductory press conference for the match today, Saturday: “Our team always aims to compete for all titles, and we have proven our character from the first moment in the club’s history.”
El-Shenawy continued: “We are focusing on playing the Zamalek match and our goal is to win it and compete for the championship.”
When asked about not being called up to the Egyptian national team, El-Shenawy replied: “The question can be directed to Hossam Hassan about not being called up to the ranks of the national team.”
The Pyramids goalkeeper continued: “I played in an African championship and runner-up in the league last season, and I am doing my best with the team because that is my job, regardless of the issue of joining the national team.”
