French star Varane issued statements revealing the reasons for his sudden retirement from football at the age of 31, as he announced the news of his retirement last month.

The French defender moved to the Como club. The Italian came from the English club Manchester United with a contract extending until 2026, but he participated with the Italian team in only one match.

Varane added in an interview with the French newspaper “L’Equipe”: When I was injured, I knew immediately that everything was over. My left knee was twisted, and this was a strong sign for me because it had been replacing my right knee since 2013.
