Sheikh: The Saudi national team is chaotic and random

Yesterday, the Saudi national team tied 0-0 with its counterpart, the Bahrain national team, in the fourth round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

The Sheikh said via “Action with Walid” program: “The team with Mancini does not have a clear identity, and there are no solutions. We previously called for his dismissal because Al-Akhdar lost everything that distinguishes him with the Italian coach.”

He continued: “The results have been bad since the contract with Mancini and until now there is no decision, and the president of the Saudi Federation, Yasser Al-Meshal, must be held accountable, due to the team’s successive failures in all entitlements.”

He explained: “It is not reasonable to remain silent about what is happening. Mancini has no vision and has summoned more than 40 players in the recent period to represent the national team.”

He added: “What Mancini is doing is confusion, impotence, and the dismantling of the Qatar World Cup team, and this is a crime committed against Al-Akhdar.”

He concluded his speech: “The national team is chaotic, random and deteriorating, and the decision to dismiss Mancini should have been taken earlier and not today.”
