Many social media outlets circulated news of the transfer of Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo to the ranks of Al Hilal Saudi Club to participate with them in the 2025 Club World Cup.
Ronaldo’s contract with his club extends The current Saudi Al-Nassr team is until June 30, 2025. According to the regulations and laws, he can sign with any team starting next January, provided that he joins its ranks in the summer of the same year.
This means that the Portuguese legend is able to sign for the Blue Club and participate with them in the 2025 World Cup, which will be held in the United States of America.
But a sports journalist close to Al-Nasr Club stated Abdulaziz Al-Mursal said, “This news circulating through social media is wrong and he confirmed that Cristiano will not play for any team in the Middle East except Al-Nasr Club, explaining that this is information he possesses and is not his judgments.”
He also mocked Al Hilal fans because of their desire to sign a contract with the Portuguese star now, despite their mockery of him in the past and describing him as “old” when Al Nasraoui Club signed him.
It is worth noting that Cristiano Ronaldo was close to joining the ranks of the Blue Club before he signed with Al-Nasr Club, but the transfer failed and he was transferred to Al-Nasr Club due to the penalty of depriving Al-Hilal Club of contracts at that time.
