Gomez includes Costa in Zamalek's list
Portuguese Jose Gomez, coach of Zamalek, wants to include Guinean Jefferson Costa, the team's new defender, in the roster for the UAE Super Cup, scheduled for October 20-24.
According to press reports coming from Egypt, Gomez’s decision, in order to include Jefferson Costa, was that Mustafa El-Zanari suffered a torn ankle ligament and there were absences in the defense line.
Reports indicated that Gomez is convinced of the level of 19-year-old Jefferson Costa after his good appearance in friendly matches.
Costa joined Zamalek this summer, as an underage foreign player.
Zamalek will face its counterpart, Pyramids, in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Super Cup. On the 20th of this October, and if he wins, he will meet the winner of the Al-Ahly and Ceramica Cleopatra matches, on the 24th of the same month, in the final match.
