Marseille are looking to borrow Modric from Chelsea

The French club Marseille may sign a contract with Mykhailo Modric, a winger for Chelsea and the Ukrainian national team, during the winter transfer period, according to the “Top Mercato” website.

The report stated that The 23-year-old is set to replace Inter loanee Valentin Carbone, who will be out for a long period due to injury.

The report also stated that it is likely to be a deal. Loan, not a full transfer to the French League. 

It should be noted that current Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca has repeatedly indicated that there is a surplus of current players in the London team.

Marseille club is managed by Roberto De Zerbe, who is well aware of Modric's abilities from the period he spent together at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Modric participated this season in 8 matches with Chelsea (5 of which were as a starter), and did not score any goals, but provided two assists.
