Gomez refuses to include two local deals for Zamalek
Press sources revealed that Jose Gomez, coach of Zamalek, refused to sign Mahmoud Gehad, the Pharco midfielder, and Amr Qalawa, the Ceramica player, during the current summer transfer period.
According to the sources, Gomez refused to include the duo, Mahmoud Jihad and Amr Qalawa, because the team did not need his services this summer, as it had the trio of Nabil Imad Donga, Ziad Kamal, and Mohamed Shehata in the defensive fulcrum position.
Reports indicated that Zamalek management believes that the team needs to include a defensive midfielder after the departure of Mohamed Ashraf Rouqa and Saif Jaafar’s close to leaving due to the Portuguese’s lack of confidence in his level.
