Professional players' associations and European leagues, along with La Liga, have filed a complaint with the European Commission against FIFA over the international match schedule and the Club World Cup.

The complaint expresses the clubs' concern about... The impact of the expanded schedule on the health of the players despite the high salaries, accusing FIFA of imposing its control and violating European Union laws.

One of the most prominent points of contention is increasing the number of teams participating in the Club World Cup to 32. Starting next year, which could impact club pre-season tours. Players, such as Kylian Mbappe, have also indicated that the pressure of matches has become unacceptable.

Javier Tebas, president of the Spanish League, accused FIFA of “acting in its own interests without taking into account the harm caused to the football system.”
