Imam Ashour’s position on traveling to participate in the Egyptian Super Cup

Mohamed Othman, the lawyer of Al-Ahly player Imam Ashour, revealed his position on traveling with his team to the Emirates in order to play in the Egyptian Super Cup, while the player is connected to a hearing in the case of his assault on a security personnel in one of the malls, on October 19 of this month.

Ahly is participating in the Egyptian Super Cup, which starts on October 20, alongside the teams of Zamalek, Pyramids and Ceramica Cleopatra.

Mohamed Othman said: “I expect Imam Ashour to be acquitted, even if we assume that he was sentenced to imprisonment, there is an appeal, and this case is a misdemeanor case and does not prevent travel.”

He added: “Imam Ashour will travel normally with Al-Ahly and there is no problem, and he does not need to attend the session on October 19th. Rather, it is possible for the lawyer appointed by him to attend the meeting.” Such cases are misdemeanor cases.”
