Manchester City announces the departure of its sporting director and reveals his replacements
The English club Manchester City announced in an official statement the departure of its sporting director, Txiki Begiristain, at the end of the current season.
The English club stated that the sporting director of Sporting Lisbon Hugo Viana will be the club's new sporting director.
The source added that Viana will begin his actual work in the summer of 2025, but will cooperate with Begiristain since next January.
Begiristain has been with Manchester City for 12 years, and he played a major role in City’s successes locally and in Europe.
