Real Madrid bids farewell to Nadal with an official statement
The Spanish club Real Madrid, in an official statement, bid farewell to tennis legend Rafael Nadal, who will retire next November.
The club said: “Given With Rafa Nadal announcing his retirement from tennis as a professional player after the Davis Cup and that he will play for Spain in November 2024, Real Madrid Football Club, its President and its Board of Directors wish to show their admiration and love for one of the greatest players.”

He added: “For us and all Real Madrid fans, it will always be a source of pride that a legend like Rafa Nadal represents our club as an honorary member of Real Madrid.”
He said Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez “Rafael Nadal is also a source of pride for our country and is an example of the fundamental values of sport, with which he has shaped his entire exceptional career.”
The club added: “From Real Madrid, we also want to show you our gratitude to your Real Madrid fan base and to spread the values of our club around the world.”
He concluded: “We wish Rafa Nadal and his entire family the best in this new phase of their lives.”
