The Egyptian Federation denies reports of excluding the Egyptian national team from the World Cup qualifiers
The Egyptian Football Association responded to the news that talked about the exclusion of the Egyptian national team from the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The group includes the Egyptian national team in the qualifiers. World Cup: “Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Djibouti.”
The Pharaohs succeeded in gaining 10 points in the first 4 rounds of the next World Cup qualifiers, and topped their group.
Sources revealed that a source from within the Football Association denied that the team was excluded from the World Cup qualifiers due to a previous crisis with one of the companies organizing a friendly match.
The source explained that the news about the friendly match between Egypt and Belgium in 2022 is inaccurate, stressing that the case has been closed and there is no fear that the Pharaohs will be excluded from the World Cup qualifiers.
