The reason why Todibo's transfer to Manchester United failed
Journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed the reason behind stopping the transfer of Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo to Manchester United this summer.
Romano said through his account on the X platform: “The Todibo to Manchester United deal is currently on hold and is unlikely to happen due to UEFA rules.”
He added: “Nice and Manchester United have the same ownership and play in the same European competition.” Next season, so the deal will not happen.”
Man United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe said: “UEFA said it was Todibo’s transfer to another club in the English Premier League.” But he cannot be transferred to Manchester United.”
He concluded: “This is not fair to the player, and I do not see what this will achieve.”
