Lille achieved a valuable victory over its counterpart Real Madrid 1-0 in the second round of the Champions League round.  Lille got the first 3 points, while Real Madrid's balance froze at 3 points.

The first half did not witness many chances, except for one chance for Endrick, which was blocked by the goalkeeper, and another chance for a Lille player, but Lunin was waiting for the ball.

In the 45th minute, the referee awarded a penalty kick in favor of Lille after a handball on Camavinga, which Jonathan David responded to, scoring the lead goal.

In the second half, it failed. Real Madrid was in a threat to Lille's goal, except in the last five minutes, where the goalkeeper saved two chances, the first through Bellingham and the second through Rudiger.

Arda Guler had to score the equalizer. With a header, but the goalkeeper blocked it, ending the match with a 1-0 victory for Lille.
