
Khaled Al-Ghandour, the former Zamalek star, revealed a surprising decision by Al-Ahly duo Wissam Abu Ali and Mohamed Magdy Afsha after returning from Saudi Arabia.
Khaled Al-Ghandour said in television statements: “Wissam Abu Ali and Mohamed Magdy Afsha refused to obtain a full leave, and Wissam returned from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and went to train at Mukhtar Al-Touch Stadium.”
He added: “Afsha is training in the gym in preparation for returning to training next Saturday, after the end of the rest that the players received for a week, and the Swiss Marcel Kohler, the coach of Al-Ahly, will return to Cairo.” Next Friday."
Al-Ahly had suffered a defeat against Zamalek in the African Super Cup match that was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The match ended with Zamalek winning 4-3 on penalty kicks after the match ended in a positive draw 1-1.
