The journalist Ibrahim Fayek spoke about the recent news about holding a match between Zamalek and Real Madrid sponsored by the Riyadh Season.

Ibrahim Fayek said on the “X” platform: “I read some news circulating on social media regarding a match between the African Super Champion and the European Super Champion... or a match between the African Champion and the European Champion, sponsored by... Riyadh Season."

He added: “But the truth is that Chancellor Turki Al-Sheikh did not make any statements regarding holding any match of this kind, neither between the African Super Champion and the European Super Champion, nor between... African champion and European champion."

He continued: “For the sake of transparency and clarification of matters, there was also no mention, in any way, of a match organized by the Confederation of African Football under the sponsorship of the Riyadh Season.”

He concluded: “Please be careful in everything that is published and circulated in this regard.”
