Mohamed Hani, the Al-Ahly player, suffered a severe injury during his participation in the African Super Cup match yesterday, Friday, against Zamalek.
The African Super Cup match took place at the “Mamlaka Arena” stadium. In Riyadh, it ended with Al-Ahmar losing on penalties “4-3” after the end of regular time in a tie “1-1”.
Mohamed Hani did not complete the first half of the match. He left the pitch at the 27th minute due to his injury.
According to press sources, the initial diagnosis indicates that Mohamed Hani suffered from knee ligament damage.
The sources added that Mohamed Hani will undergo knee-level x-rays upon his arrival in Cairo, to determine the details of his injury and the duration of his absence from the Al-Ahly team.
Mohamed Hani is expected to be absent from Al-Ahly for a period ranging between 10 to 15 days, due to the injury.
