Officially... Ahmed Fathi announces his retirement from football

Ahmed Fathi, the Pyramids club player, officially announced his retirement from football, this evening, Saturday, contenting himself with the period he spent on the field.


Ahmed Fathi was present in the analytical studio. For the match between Al-Ahly and Kenya’s Jormahia, in the African Champions League, on MBC Egypt, with journalist Ibrahim Fayek, accompanied by Sayed Abdel Hafeez, the former Al-Ahly star.


Fathi said during the studio: “I decided to retire and I am comfortable and satisfied with my football career... and there are moments for me on the field that I cannot forget.”


Ahmed Fathi retired from football permanently at the age of 39, after a busy career full of championships with many clubs that he represented, such as Al-Ismaily, Al-Ahly, Sheffield United, Hull City, and Umm Salal.


Before concluding his career with Pyramids and winning the Egypt Cup championship.
