Percy Tau was injured in the eye before confronting Jormahia
South African Percy Tau, Al-Ahly club player, missed the team’s training last Thursday, before facing Jormahia of Kenya today, Saturday, in the second leg of the 32nd round of the African Champions League, due to an eye injury.
According to press reports, South African Percy Tau did not participate in Al-Ahly club’s training, due to his injury to the eye, which was swollen and he put a bandage on it in order to heal it, adding that the technical and medical staff preferred that the player not participate in training.
Reports stressed that Tao will undergo a medical test on the sidelines of Al-Ahly club’s training, in order to decide his position on playing in the match against Kenya’s Gormahia.
Sources confirmed that Marcel Kohler, the club’s coach, refuses to rush the South African against Jormahia, but the medical test will decide everything about the player’s participation or not.
Percy Tau scored a brace in Al-Ahly’s victory over Kenya’s Jormahia, 3-0, last Sunday in the first leg.
