Hierro: We are working on building a strong team

The Spanish Fernando Hierro, the sports director of Al-Nasr Club, responded to what was said about his refusal to have the Italian coach Stefano Pioli come to coach the yellow team, succeeding the Portuguese Luis Castro.

Hierro said in his statements at the press conference to present Pioli as the new coach of the Al-Nasr team: “If we contracted with a Portuguese coach, they would say that Cristiano Ronaldo was the one who brought him, and if we contracted with a Spanish coach, they would say “Also, Hierro was the one who chose him.”

Hierro continued: “Now they say that Stefano Pioli came through Guido Finga, the club’s CEO.”

Hierro added: “I only attended 3 months ago and I am currently working hard, at least 12 hours a day, to build a strong team.”

He continued: “You need everyone’s effort in order to succeed, and the results determine your work.”

Press reports claimed that there was a dispute between Guido and Hierro over Pioli’s arrival to coach Al-Nassr after Castro’s dismissal.
