Motta: We did not achieve the result we wanted, and we are focusing on facing Eindhoven

Juventus coach Thiago Motta appeared in press statements, after a 0-0 draw in the fourth round of the Italian League.

The coach said: “Maintaining cleanliness.” Our goal was thanks to the entire team, so creating opportunities in attack must be the task of the entire team.”

He added: “We performed a little better in the second half.” We tried to move widely and force our opponents to retreat. We had chances to go ahead, and obviously a draw is not what we wanted and the result is not what we were aiming for, but it was a decent performance and we must continue to grow.”

Kenen Keenan Yildiz plays a much wider role than he had earlier in the season, allowing Koopminers to play as a playmaker with Nico Gonzalez on the other side for Juventus in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

He added: “We need to serve Vlahovic, whether with crosses or through balls, because he is good in the air, he can do both. I agree that he is improving a lot in that sense, but strikers live for goals. He gives us a lot other than goals and he needs to focus exclusively on playing for the team, doing his job and helping the team.”

He concluded about facing PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League: “He is a source of pride for us.” We all want to play in such an important match. We leave today's match behind us, take the positives and focus on facing PSV Eindhoven, they are used to dominating domestically and have high quality players. I expect a balanced match. We want to take the ball away from them and control the initiative to create those opportunities.”
