Atletico Madrid tried to sign French duo N'Golo Kante, the Al-Ittihad player, and Adrien Rabiot, the former Juventus player, during the summer transfer market, which ended a few days ago.

The Spanish newspaper “Marca” reported that Atletico Madrid had placed N’Golo Kante and Adrien Rabiot among its interests in the final hours of the summer transfer period.

The Spanish newspaper indicated that Kante was a dream option for the Atletico Madrid technical staff, but the federation’s financial demands prevented the deal from being completed.

The source explained that Kante’s move to Atletico Madrid this summer did not take place due to the federation’s request for 20 million euros, which was later reduced to 15 million.

Kante expressed flexibility to reduce his current salary, which amounts to 14 million euros annually, if he wears the Madrid team shirt.
