
Khaled El-Ghandour, the former Zamalek star, spoke about the reason for Al-Ahly’s rejection of the departure of its star Mahmoud Kahraba to the Saudi Al-Hazm.
Al-Ghandour said during his new program, Al-Mehwar Stadium with Khaled Al-Ghandour: “The Saudi Al-Hazm Club entered into negotiations with Mahmoud Kahraba to obtain his services during the past 48 hours.”
He continued: “Al-Ahly rejected the first offer, and Al-Hazm returned with a new offer for an amount ranging from $650,000 to $700,000.”
He added: “The financial compensation The offer offered to Kahraba is also weak, and the player was waiting for Al-Ahly’s position to negotiate his salary with Al-Hazm management.”
He continued: “Kahraba has a great reputation in the Saudi League and shined within the ranks of the Jeddah Union during the period he spent in the Saudi team.”
He concluded his speech: “Al-Ahly club also rejected the new offer due to the financial compensation, in addition to the desire of Swiss coach Marcel Kohler to sign a new striker.”
