Jesus decides to register Lodi and exclude Neymar from Al Hilal’s list
The Portuguese Jorge Jesus, coach of Al Hilal Club, decided to continue excluding Brazilian Neymar da Silva from the team’s roster this season, due to the player’s lack of technical and physical readiness.
The Brazilian Neymar suffered a cruciate ligament tear last October 17 with his country against Uruguay in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup. He was dropped from the Blue Team list last January and his compatriot Renan Lodi, who came from Marseille in France, was registered.
According to press reports, Jesus requested the continued exclusion of Neymar from the team’s roster this season and restricted his compatriot Renan Lodi until next January, due to the former’s lack of readiness and the team’s need for the latter.
Reports stressed that Neymar da Silva will be ready next November, in order to return to participate with Al Hilal Club.
