Modric clarifies his position on the 2026 World Cup
Real Madrid midfield star Luka Modric refused to give a clear answer regarding his presence in the 2026 World Cup.
The Croatian star said: “The 2026 World Cup is still far away. At my age, it is difficult to plan for the distant future. I cannot confirm anything and I have to listen to my body and see how I feel.”
He added: “I am still as motivated as I was at the beginning.” For me, the greatest pride and desire is to play for the Croatian national team.”
He concluded: “I am proud and happy that I am still here with the national team, that the coach wants me, and that my teammates We are happy to see me, that is why I am still playing with the national team.”
