Hossam Hassan agrees to Nice’s request to rest Abdel Moneim
It was confirmed that Mohamed Abdel Moneim, the former French and Al-Ahly player from Nice, will not join the current Egypt national team camp to play the opening matches of the African qualifiers for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco.
Whereas The Pharaohs will face Cape Verde tomorrow, Friday, September 6, and Botswana next Tuesday.
The technical staff of the Egyptian national team, led by technical director Hossam Hassan, agreed to Nice Club’s request regarding its new player not joining the current camp due to lack of physical readiness.
The national team agreed to rest Abdel Moneim until he reached full physical readiness, as he was on passive rest several matches before the end of the league, after which he completed the residency procedures in France.
