Michael Owen nominates Ronaldo to coach Portugal after retirement
Former Liverpool and Man United star Michael Owen advised Al-Nasr star Cristiano Ronaldo to go to training after retirement.
Michael Owen told Sporten: “I will be excited to see what Cristiano does when he retires.”
He continued: “Looking at the matter Just from the outside, you get the feeling that he wants to be in this side (coaching Portugal), like in the Euro 2016 final.”
Owen believes that Ronaldo has the qualities that make him a technical director. Successful, adding: “It seems like he wants to be like that, and maybe he is going down this path.”
He concluded his speech: "Ronaldo's name may be proposed in the future to coach the Portuguese national team, and if things go well with him, big clubs such as Manchester United and Real Madrid may look forward to him."
