Mbappe: I am not Cristiano's successor, and this is not my mentality
French star Kylian Mbappe expressed his happiness with the victory the team achieved yesterday against Beets 2-0 in the fourth round of La Liga.
Mbappe, the scorer of the two goals, said: “Cristiano’s successor.” “No, he is my role model, but no, I don’t want this pressure. I want to be Kylian. The only pressure I face is having to adapt to the team.”
He added. “I can play in all three attacking positions.”
And about scoring two goals: “I knew this moment was coming. My first goal went to Fede Valverde.”
He added about taking penalty kicks between him and Vinicius: “The coach says we will take penalty kicks together? I don’t want to impose things, this is not my mentality.”
He concluded: “Criticism? I am not surprised. It is part of life. I am used to it.”
